So I caught the article on Mary McConneloug here on cycling news. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/mcconneloug-sidelined-with-lyme-disease

Which brings me here to the forums. I am a recovering from late stage Lyme disease. Yup they didn't catch it for 3 years, I had to find out the hard way and diagnose it on my own. Then confirmed via Blood test.

Anyways is there any other Lyme disease people here, or recovered Lymies?

I haven't rode for a few years and now I am getting back into it. Enjoying it!

That's a bummer it took so long to find it.

I was lucky in that I had the bullseye rash, got nuked with antibiotics for what seemed a long time and haven't had any symptoms since. I consider myself lucky. 30% of cases don't present with rash?

Good luck in your recovery.

yeah it was a bummer, the first year wasn't bad, and then year 2 was supposedly mono. and then year 3 was some very nasty neurological issues. yeah not all cases get the rash. I had it, but I still swear it was a spider bite. Looked like a recluse bite. but it was so long ago. and the tick larvae are pretty small. so I'm not sure.

I skipped the antibiotic route and went with a rife machine. I'm doing fairly well, better than most I know or have since met, that's been on years of ABX.

I am still out of a job though and have off days. But I'm riding again, and so that makes me happy.

I was thinking to get a pedicab and do that on my good days. Or just take off, across the states and try to raise awareness for Lyme with a cross country ride.
I know the lady that started this http://www.facebook.com/profile.php...-Lyme-Disease-Awareness-Flags/130331843708174
And I was hmmmm stretched kid trailer and Bike the flags across the states.

I was like what a better way to return to strength and finish my healing.
