That will be more than enough (coverage). MSR is the sort of race where you can attend your garden all day and just slip in once in a while to see if your favorite dropped out along the way. In reality they could make the race 200 km without problems.
Yeh but it makes the race much harder if you come into the finish with 100km more in your legs, and anyway it means that Freire wont be able to win:(

Hmmm are some on here forgetting that La Manie was in the parcours the year Cav won? Sure I don't expect him to win, depending on how the race plays out of course, but the number of people on here writing him off completely seems disproportionately high considering he's a former winner on exactly the same parcours.

I thought the finish was closer to the end of the poggio these last couple of years..

I bet on cavendish to win

Killer + Nibbles + Little Prince rushing up the poggio! can't wait!

And then Cancellara passes them like they are standing still over the top. (Like pozzato did to nibali in 2010)

What is the magic of this race?

The lenght of it or because it is a older race?

Because for me it is a race that they could cut 200km and it will be the same thing, just a group sprint in the end.

A race that Cavendish can win do not deserve so much affliction.

I will watch this race as I watch all the other flat races.. Ok.. I watch all the cycling races..

But I did not understand why the people have so much attention for this race. I try but I can not have the same feeling that I have before the real big races:

Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, FW, LBL, Lombardia.. etc.

MSR >>>>>> FW

And bigger than Lombardia too IMO.

The more I read about Sky's tactics the more it looks there is only a plan A for those guys which means EBH's job will be to bring Cav to the front and not too try to follow attackers on the Poggio. Which I personally don't like as the Edvald-fan I am, but I guess it might make sense from a Sky point of view. They have had success with putting everything on one card before so they will do the same here.

I'm not talking about tradition or prize size... It is like the Giro and the tour... I agree.. the tdf >>> giro. But the giro is better to watch. :)

I like much more to see a Hilly race with a hard end (where hard cyclists win) then a flat course where the team leader will stay safe in the peloton all the way while their team mates control the suicide breakaway before the last kms.

It's possible that Cav, Boonen, etc.. take a little nap while riding until the poggio.. there their team mates will wake up then.. heheheh
