Yeah, they have four guys other than Cav in that chase group.

Big fan of Cav, but can't see why they're doing this. In EBH they have a great rider who stands to do well in the type of finish that looks to be shaping up. Maybe they think he doesn't need the help, but surely Cav is done for.

Why do you say that? He has done nothing this year. Or, do you mean position?

He was sitting at the back of the peloton when Le Manie started. He even had to stand still for a few seconds at that gate. 10 minutes later he was up front ;)

If they don't chase then those riders won't be up there to help EBH.

They had three drop off with Cav when he first got dropped. Maybe they didnt realise how far back he was going to be. Eisel stayed with him while the other two tried to get back to the peloton when it transpired he was going to be properly dropped. However, they couldnt make it back and then Cav's group made contact with them.

Thats the way i see it anyway

Get real, Cav has burnt too much energy, he will not stand a chance when the pace gets high on the last climbs. All focus on EBH, anything else is stupid.

Eh? They can only take one line - the road.

It was a joke, in all seriousness though why is Sky so committed to Cavendish if he can't even stay in contact with the peleton on a climb, how will have have any chance when the attacks on the Poggio come?

What exactly do you expect? Should the 4 riders teleport to help Eddy?

The only way back is pulling that group - if they're not going to do that they might as well all climb off.

Is EBH in the front group or the chase group?? Where's Fabian and Boonen??

At least 2 sky riders were in about 40th in the peloton going up the Manie. Assume that EBH was one and Lofkvist was the other. Havent seen confirmation though.
