lol where the hell was Pozzato's sprint?

i think he killed himself trying to follow gilberts attack in the last 2 km, he was always too far back to be getting any benefit but following at a steady distance, and he was too far back at the last few corners...

bloody pozatto

Chapeau Scarponi... I thought he would have fired all his bullets getting back to the leaders; impressive he was in the finale.

Why are people so surprised? There was only 1 sprinter in that group. It was clear for a few minutes that he would win.

I don't see surprised posts? as soon as I saw him, instant favorite.

Yea, Goss did a great ride, but ultimately once it got to the last group his winning was inevitable. Frankly as soon as he was in group 1 70km I had a horrible sinking feeling he would win.

Andy? My posts about HTC are about as joyful as HTC's racing.

Cancellara kicked past gilbert, just something to keep in mind for upcomming races.

Sky bummed out, but Garmin might be the bigger dissappointment. Was today one of Vaughter's assummed scenarios?

pretty sad isn't it:(

Yes it is. We are a minority sport that fights hard to get recognition, yet from some areas we have pointless, pathetic *****y in-fighting.

Awesome race. Thanks for crashing, Freire!

I got so excited with Van Avermaet, pity that he couldn't hang on and at least get a good placing. After 300 km and having had to chase several attacks by himself, I wasn't sure Goss would have it, but he's very strong.

Huh? Give them some credit.

Maybe you should follow another sport.

Yea, because you NEVER see irrational hatred amongst fans of other sport.

I give Goss credit for a brilliant ride.

I do also follow other sports.

There are people I like and people I dislike in those sports too.

I am always amazed by posts that reveal how much anger people carry about for riders and teams.

Of course but then people need to hate as much as they need riders/teams to support

why is it a problem he wins regardless?
This was a tough win.

HTC trains are annoying, but this was great. How can you be dissapointed at anyone winning like this.

Well deserved win. There were numerous sprinters in the front group prior to the Poggio. Matt showed he had the class to hang in there.

Well done. :)

Contrary to Cancellara, Gilbert tried to race.

The amount of riders just doing nothing is mind boggling. There's really something wrong with the attitude in the peloton these days. Thanks Nibali for heating things up.
