It would be nice if this feature...you know...worked 
I've used it a ton of times. And they are indeed marked as read....until the next time I close the tab. The next time I visit the forum, every single topic ever is in bold (as if it contained new posts that haven't yet been read).
Note that if I don't use "mark this forum read", the next time I come into the forum, only the correct topics appear in bold, as they should, so it's definitely a problem with this particular feature.
