I don’t know exactly where Skjelmose fits in ranking wise, but it is good to see that there’s now a group of young-ish riders who could become the “Next great America whatever”: along with Jorgensen, Sheffield, Simmons, McNulty, Powless (the latter two have been around for a while but could keep developing).

It isn't that funny in Danish either, so I'll probably change the title again at some point.

Obviously it should have! In my pitiful defense, I was on a research trip to several isolated locations with sketchy WiFi and cell coverage all the previous week, and spent the weekend watching the TA and PN stages I missed and skimming quickly through all the threads I hadn’t read

Yes! I was a bit worried after Paris-Nice and Itzulia, but he's been incredibly solid in one day races this year.

What's his best quality? He got a lot of top 5 places this year already. He's fast also, but didn't know he could do this on the Mur. How is he as a climber or TT'er?

He's pretty much a jack of most trades, master of none kind of rider, though the result today and on the third stage in Itzulia, where he came from behind, could indicate that he might be turning into a murito specialist.

He's already proven he has the abilities in week-long races, and I'll be surprised if doesn't get a GT breakthrough at some point, but the Tour this year might come too early.

He can do everything.

The thing about him is that he never misses splits also, which is super important as a GC riders or in classics. Echelons, rain, snow, ... doesn't matter to him. Positioning is also pretty good, even tho it seems like Trek is just really good.

EDIT: I just realized it's kind of stupid saying he never misses a split when he literally missed the decisive split on Sunday. I guess "almost never" would've been better wording lmao.
