This is picking up on somethings mentioned in other threads but perhaps deserves to be separated out from the other discussions.
As well as the Armstrong 'donation(s)' to the UCI there are several other examples of a 'close' relationship between McQuaid, his family and Armstrong which calls into question McQuaid's personal probity, his honesty and conflicts of interest.
Andrew McQ also manages Geoffroy Lequatre and Daryl Impey, and he got both gigs on Shack
Let's not forget that Pat's brother runs the Tour of Ireland, where the star attraction was the Uniballer and his band of merrymen.
As Dr Maserati has pointed out:
Schenk has called for more transparency at the UCI, with the conflicts of interest around the McQuaid family and their relationship to Armstrong, it is clear to see what she means.
If anyone else has any other examples of McQuaid/his family having conflicts of interest then please post them.

did you know that Pat McQuaid's son, Andrew, runs a company called Azzurri Sports Management, which acts as an agent for several riders, notably Nicolas Roche, Daniel Martin and Philip Deignan. While there is absolutely no suggestion that anything improper has ever taken place, the UCI must surely acknowledge that a conflict of interest exists. Andrew McQuaid was Tweeting from the Radioshack team car during the Tour of California.

As Dr Maserati has pointed out:
Dr. Maserati said:Pats brother Darach McQuaid (organiser of the Tour of Ireland) was jealous - as he was at the ToC last year right at the same time the Global Cancer Summit switched from Paris to Dublin - the day after the Tour of Ireland ended.
What is the name of the sunglasses supplier that Pats nephew got a nice plumb job in -jokley or something.
And didn't Stephan Roche just get a position on the ProTour Council?
