Please take a careful look at what Berzin has edited/deleted in the Walsh thread recently, and see if there's anything there that perhaps shouldn't have been edited. When I read (what is left of) the conversation between him and Hitch, I think it would be better if he didn't moderate conversations he participate in himself, but let another mod do just that.

I'm not mocking anybody. What I'm trying to do is guide the thread in a different direction, where someone can at least take a stab at what's going on at Sky as opposed to saying they know there's doping without providing any type of opinion as to what they are doing. I'm surprised that you've chosen to ignore this for the sake of making this about me.

Berzin might call it "guiding." Others might call it bullying.

I thought it was harsh on the Dark Knight Rises to ban him - I assumed when they banned him that it was because he was another sock-puppet of previously banned BPC (which would have been fair enough), but if he wasn't I can't see that he said anything particularly offensive or more troll worthy than dozens of posts by more, established posters.

And besides if he was Lance and got sucked into posting in the Clinic regularly it would have been worth the admission price itself!

With no context as i didn't read the thread, i think he should have gotten a long ban but i will wait for Susan's feeback before making a decision, which could take a few days as she he will be away for the next couple of days.

Yes, it might have become you to find out what the context was, before hitting me with a ban longer than the vast majority of persistent, repeat offender trolls have ever received for far worse infractions. Three days or a week would have been far more appropriate for a first offense, if any ban at all. Your sad, disgraceful over-reaction, egged on by the creature quoted above, is just one fine example of the downward slope this forum has been on for some time. You really ought to be ashamed of yourself, both for not investigating and taking the context and circumstances into account, for not speaking with me privately, and for the length of the ban.

And please, don't any of you mods ever privately ask me for advice again.

Hold on - I do have some sympathy for the length of the ban over your outburst.

But - the highlighted is wrong, straight up unnecessary and wrong.
That is you getting personal with someone. Your point, if it has merit does not matter on who requested action or on what they wrote.

You did deserve a ban - which you acknowledge (hey, I got a 1 month ban too for telling someone to Foff, so you got a better deal).

It seems you got an emotionally invested in something and reacted inappropriately, then fine, put you in the corner until you cool down.
It would also seem that the mod reaction was over the top and inappropriate.
By all means show that - but you can hardly expect things to go in your favour bringing fuel to the fire.

You need to know the history to understand. Thehog and RR basically had the same act for years. They were like brothers. They were two anti Armstrong trolls whose main hobby in life was to get around the mod teams on cycling forums to spread vague rumors and gossip and pretend to have the inside line on all things Armstrong. They worked together, sharing PMs and coordinating rumors and sock accounts. They had the same style, always teasing without being specific. Nobody can quite remember anything either of them said coming true, apart from obvious big truth that Armstrong was doping, which everyone in the sport knew anyway. But somehow RR managed to get 20k followers on twitter out of this act, and thanks to this got to finally meet the very cycling celebs he used to hint he knew. Thehog, on the other hand, never made it out of forum obscurity. Thehog must ask himself everyday what the hell happened? How could two people so similar have such different fortunes? Their relationship now is like Landis and Lance before Lance got busted. One believes the other is living a lie and doesn't deserve to be where they are today. Thehog believes RR would still be working the rumor mill on the forums about the likes of team sky, just as he is, had RR not met his new friends and got all serious, and lets face it, thehog is probably right about that. There is going to be no easy fix to this relationship.
