Good job sittingbison. Hope you'll stick to your word regarding the Hog ;)

Yeah, real good job. Way to neuter the clinic in one quick step. The modding here just keeps getting better and better.
Or should I just say "Sittingbullshit you just suck" and add one to the banned list? Because I am pretty sure I see where the problem lies here.

And to top it all off you leave Foxxybrown's incoherent ramblings in place?
If the mods were paying $100 a month for the position they would be over paid.

incoherant ramblings are one thing....baiting trolling derailling insulting and bickering for pages in a row are another

and I know that foxxy admitted to trolling, they are on a very short leash in that regard

And finally If you think a post(s) are inappropriate, report it. Don't bleat about it here

And Pedro too!

Sorry to see Pedro get the temporary hammer. More often than not, it is he who says what needs to be said. Stating the obvious being one of his finer attributes—although doing so often stirs the ire of others.

With some of the stuff that goes on in some threads you have to feel for the mods, don't always agree with them, but it is not a job I would want to do. If regulars where better behaved (including me sometimes) then it would make their job easier. Still sad to see Pedro and RR banned.

This from a poster who has had run-ins with mods since WAY before the current crew. I put NO faith in any complaints from this quarter.

From me to this mod crew? Kudos. Chapeau. :D

Sorry to see these guys banned, are you? Well, I feel sad to see ANYONE get banned - but if you insist on being a jerk for your own entertainment, I have yet to see a better response.

They are all people with whom we could have a normal VERBAL conversation - or even enjoy a bike ride with. But something about the power of being able to write in a forum - where no one ignores you or just sidles off to talk with someone else - sometimes brings out the most unlikeable characteristics and attitudes of a person.

"ScottiePippen has been banned for a week for an unacceptable and tasteless comment. "

That was his very first post - yeah?

I cannot think of any reason for that account to even remain active.

I don't suppose a mod could replace the missing Stutue posts in the "Winter tyres" thread in the Bikes & Gear sub-forum?

Now that his posts have been nuked, that thread just lost half the conversation (that was nothing other than a genuine sharing of info).

I second this post. There was some helpful posts he had in that thread.

I'm not sure whether it's a good idea to always delete all posts of a banned user, especially in case of potential sockpuppets it would be helpful for users like myself who probably joined after the originally banned posters was already banned. I tried to to search myself in this forum regarding supposed sockpuppets over the last 2 years, to find out that the original users posts could only be found when quoted by other users. Makes it a bit hard for the ordinary user to recognize a sockpuppet.

Have restored those posts.

Thanks! Some of the posts are very useful.

Was Joachim from the UK? Stutues knowledge of the local roads and transport on the west coast of Scotland certainly indicate he is. Of course, he could have just googled that information but it doesn't seem like it.

I felt a great disturbance in the Clinic, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in relief, and a troll was suddenly silenced. I see something terrible has been banned.

Joachim we believe.

Why, was he using the same ip adress, Mac Id etc

I remember Joachim and did not see any real similarities between the two, or is it just a beleif he is a sockpuppet because a group of posters are constantly complaining about him?

Seems a stupid ban to me.

Called it long ago:D

also posting in equipment threads makes sense for Joachim since he did the same in velorooms.

Though he always denied it, and claimed to be European, then, more specifically Belgian, it eventually became clear on velorooms that he was British and he admitted it.

Fair enough, thanks for letting me know. This is the only road bike forum I'm on.

It's a shame that people can't just be banned from the clinic. His posts in the gear section were very useful and I was having a pretty good discussion regarding good road to cycle on for the John 'O Groats to Lands End trip I'm planning next year.

It's also a shame that the clinic can cost the forum potentially very helpful members, but they're to blame, they could just not post there.

I knew it was Joachim after a few posts. Not hard to figure out really.

Good job mods.
