Disappointed to not see the name of Magnus Kulset in the group behind. He did well in Tour of The Alps and it's been said his training has been going well after that. Was hoping he could be a top 10 guy in the GC.

Lenny fading hard! Looks like he went to early. 25" on Leo Hayter (Hagens Berman Axeon), Davide Piganzoli (Eolo-Kometa), Lennert Van Eetvelt (Lotto Soudal), Romain Grégoire, Reuben Thompson (Groupama-FDJ), Riccardo Ciuccarelli (Biesse Carrera) , Felix Engelhardt (Tirol-KTM) and Toon Clynhens (Elevate)

NVM, Marinez has 1' advantage on the top of the Guspessa on Van Eetvelt, Hayter and Gregoire. Might just be a 1-2 for FDJ coming up with Hayter (surprisingly strong imo) and Van Eetvelt having to work behind him whilde Gregoire can sit on.

EDIT: 5 man group behind now with Ciuccarelli & Clynhens returning.

50k to go but looks like Lenny is doing an Ayuso. 2' advantage with the chasers not working together because Gregoire is sitting on.

Yeah gregoire gapped the others by 40 seconds on the descent lol. So a 1 2 coming up as expected. FDJ needs to up their budget, keep those guys and they will be one of the best WT teams in the world in a few years.

Wait a minute, what's happening here? Hayter out of nowhere drops Gregoire and Van Eetvelt and Martinez is struggling...

40"!!! Hayter how. Looks to have found his brothers legs

EDIT: 20 seconds!!! Martinez is cracking and Hayter is flying. Insane turnaround.

My God Hayter just closed down a 2 minute gap in no time and now dropped Martinez. Insane surprise to me. Did not expect Hayter to be this good. Well don't think anyone expected it as they "let" him win and get time yesterday.

Apparently he put 3 minutes into Ciuccarelli, who was still with him a few km ago lol. Very annoying that there isn't a livestream.
Gregoire, Martinez and Van Eetvelt are now together 1'10 behind.

BTW, DSM once again malding right now. Hayter broke his contract last winter with them

He got 2' on Van Eetvelt and the 2 FDJs. WTF just happened lmao.
I Thought Martinez was doing the Ayuso but now Hayter is doing it while I didn't even see him as a pure climber

I guess riders blowing up and monster gaps are to be expected in the u23 ranks with such a hard stage.

True but I didn't expect Hayter to be in first. He looks way slimmer tho based on the pics I saw from today and yesterday compared to last year.
