2 weeks later!? Sorry, what!? I realise things move slowly, but 2 weeks after being in China he gets popped for Clen and it's because he was in China.

Dang.

Contador should have said he was Chinese in a past life or something.

Breyne wasn't at the Tour of Beijing but tested positive at Taihu Lake, I think the point was that more positives from either Chinese race would strengthen a defence of contaminated meat.

I simply know a bit about the(European) meat industry and Clen is not exactly unheard of. That said:

Karma is a *****.

That is mostly a Belgian phenomenon isn't it?

For elite athletes or normal people?

He was referring to Rogers specifically today and also said it's normally the same length of time to clear(2-3 days) even if it's transfused.

He will get off the hook on this one. IMHO. If it is for Clenbuterol only. If there are no anomalies in the biopassport.

I don't doubt that Rogers was doping at T-mobile, and he may have been doping with Clen now, but this could be a food contamination case which is pretty dumb on his part though.

Part of WADA's approach there is that if it's contaminated food, there'll be multiple positives, not just one.

Wow, are you really saying there is some sort of roid/clen problem in European cattle?

Mafia is all around.

First post back in a fair while, very little coverage of this in the Australian press. I am struggling to care about these cases now tbh.

Because of the timing, by this evening there'll be plenty.

Ah thanks for the explanation! I knew Rogers was not considered 'clean' but damn, he's a total pro at dodging bullets it seems :D ...

That's why his nickname is Dodger

Am I the only one thinks that when still another pro cyclist gets popped for Clenbuterol, when Bertie Contador so famously was stripped of a TdF win after testing in positive for it in concentrations of 50 parts per trillion, it only can mean one of two possible alternatives? Either:

A. Michael Rogers is an imbecile, or,

B. The "buzz" in the pro cycling community is that there yet are methods for taking Clenbuterol that escape detection

C. Both of the above

What the....

Does this muppet forget he was the road captain pushing out 450W at a whim to reel in those pesky imposters Nibs and Cuddles with his brothers team?

No, but it's still going to be another dot to join for skeptical fans and there ought to be some questions raised. After all, a guy who we know was a client of the Freiburg Clinic and of Dr Ferrari while he was banned, and who has doped since leaving Team Sky, posted his best ever power numbers at Team Sky. Sky will need to find a way to explain that away.

Mick may not be the only one as according to Matt Brammeier a lot of riders disregarded warnings and may of ingested contaminated meat. The thinking of "What are odds" may of been applied in that case.

I never saw that. Just advised not to eat any meat. But I'd say more than 50% guys did. Every night meat at the buffet

Idiots.

As the CN story and the UCI web-site state a Belgian, Jonathan
Breyne, had an adverse analytical finding at a race in China in
November as well, but what about meals served on the flight
out of China...perhaps they are not safe either?

October 15th - final stage of Tour of Beijing.
October 20th - Japan Cup.

I am guessing 3 days spent in Japan, pre-Japan Cup race, but could definitely be less. At least one day, surely?

If he did ingest clen-tainted meat in China, that's a bit of a time gap to still have it at the end of the race in Japan, I would have thought?

Day before is a crit and the nature of the event is to have everyone around being friendly, would have gone more or less straight there after Beijing finished.

Idiots.

If there were 50% of riders ate the meat from the buffet then we should certainly see more positive tests from the Japan Cup.
