put a bet on him to win the worlds after the win yesterday, clearly in good form and thought he could slip away while everyone looked at Wout etc. No chance of that now after two wins in two days.

Good post.

And what a win today… He clearly beat the „strongest Colbrelli ever“… After today, the favourites for WC RR must be WVA, Colbrelli and Valgren.

Somehow, Valgren timed this perfectly. Out of nowhere, he arrives at the WC with top form!…

Well he could time it better to fly under the radar till WC :D. Now he made himself a target and won't be let go easily. Those 2 wins in a row were great performances, but WC is differente race. Wouldn't automaticly put him on short list of favorites, but rather long list.

Long list sounds OK, I agree...

Completely flying under the radar would indeed have been better... Should be hard to achieve, however, since he needed and needs these fast and hard race/competition kilometers.

What should give the Danes hope is that Valgren is able to show good results also in races >250 kilometers, when he‘s in top shape.

Curious to see what he‘ll achieve in WC. If he shows today‘s form, and if Cort shows the form of the Vuelta, and if Pedersen is WC’s Pedersen, they could be the strongest team behind Belgium and Italy in the finale on Sunday 26/9...

He did an interview today with Danish Eurosport and said that things are going excellently contrary to what he had been expecting (at certain points, he doubted whether he would ever make it back to pro level). He says he can train like a pro and hopes to be back in the races already in the beginning of April, probably at Circuit de la Sarthe. He can't ride WorldTour races as he is on the development team (let's see if this will be the case the whole year).

Thanks for sharing this. I love getting these kind of updates from Forum folks that I wouldn’t see otherwise!
