Reading the newspaper in the meantime.

Politt told Oliver Naesen in the airport they will go all in on the Cipressa and even before on the Capi with a hard pace.
Like we all expect/know already but good to see it confirmed by a UAE rider himself.

A smaller peloton in the run-in to the Poggio will also be less dangerous.

So Dillier (whose kit definitely looks green/petrol blue to me, not the pale grey they have had all year) takes a natural break, and everyone else pauses?
If teams don't want UAE to blitz the race later, why are they not forcing them to use up a couple of men in this phase?

Every year I wonder why Copa Berta isnt more selective, I feel like if someone capable sprints this from bottom to top it'd be (alot) more selective than Cipressa.... 2 examples how selective these short hills above 6% can be, are the visma hattrick in P-N a few years ago or in the tour when peak van Aert did his thing on that stage towards Calais i believe... Iiirc both hills were fairly comparable to Copa Berta... any opinions?
