If we add Ks (flat) between the hills at the business end it would be even worse. That would guarantee a bunch sprint. We wanna avoid giving the sprinter too much recovery time and space.

Mid section is where things are needed to avoid messing with the race concept while allowing for tiring a few riders. Just adding flat ks mid section is also meaningless imo.

Most pros can sit on a bike for 10 hours these days.

Man,i dont know...i think it could help, sprinters wont make it back to the bunch after dropping, if peloton rides hard of course.hard to say ;)

Hope riders and weather make it a really hard race, otherwise sadly will be a boring fest.

Bah, I hope he'll get dropped, so Boonen can sprint for himself.

Surely they'll try to get Boonen up the road in a small group (hopefully without Sagan from their perspective). If the peloton wants to chase and drag Cav back up before the finish, well they'll have to deal with the (potential) consequences of that. I think Cav being in the race is a positive for OPQS, and even for Boonen.

No way that will happen. Boonen won't be among the 20 strongest on Poggio. His chance is to be the strongest at the end of the race when it's decided in a sprint.

We'll see. You're right that he won't be in the strongest group on the climbs. That's why he has to be away earlier in a smaller group and hold off the chasers who might be reluctant to bring Cav back into play.

Ok, but still Boonen will be better on the hills than Cav, peloton or not.
It is hard to see past Sagan on this one, although it is a bit unclear how good he is atm.

Still hope Greipel will get this.

There has been a landslip in the town of Noli. Road is considered dangerous at the moment, so unless they have some crazy plan B in store, which I doubt, they'll have to bring Le Manie back.

Weird that it wasn't on his original schedule with the harder route, but now with the easy one. :O

And for himself? Or for Boonen, Cavendish, Meersman, Tersptra, or even Štybar? I'm wetting my lips already.
