Absolutely great win by Stuyven
I had money on SKA and think he could have doen better if hadnt panicked
But Jasper played a blinder

Certainly he doesn't win without Andersen getting across to him but he still put himself in a position to win. You could see it was a great situation for an attacker to win with Ewan in that groupWow. Stuyven only won because he was caught by Andersen.Great finish.
Hard to believe, but VdP just wasn't good enough to make the difference. No one was, with the exception of Stuyven.Never would gave predicted this. Van der Poel really needs to position himself better to win this classic.
Anyway, on to the cobbles.
It's hard to fight the programmingwow ineos terrible tactics, stuyven had the guts and also was lucky kragh andersen caught him and for some reason lead him out
why didnt ineos pull hard on cipressa if thats what they wanted to do with pidcock and kwiatek
Look guys, I managed to make a good prediction without saying the eventual winner sucks in the next sentence.Think a late attacker will win. Don't see them pulling Ewan to a sprint
He already got 2nd when Nibali won it.Ewan must be gutted, probably never get another chance like that at Milan San Remo.

Stuyven stronger than an 85% cocoa chocolate barSKA strong like bull, smart like tractor
I disagree. His odds of beating Stuyven in a sprint were low to begin with. He made a play for 2nd and a somewhat possible first if Stuyven cracks. His other option was to finish outside the Top-10.SKA strong like bull, smart like tractor
I don't really understand SKA there, but let's see what he has to say,
Not everyone is at the top of their game at 25 yo. Step by step Stuyven is buildibg him a nice palmares.I'm torn. Stuyven is a bit underwhelming. But it's good that MSR stays such an unpredictable race.
Ewan needed a team mate in the final km but he looked great on the climb. Matthews and Ewan both must be wondering what they have to do to win MSR.He already got 2nd when Nibali won it.
Does anyone get the Ineos tactics? If they wanted to favour Pidcock they needed to ride a higher pace on the Cipressa and more irregular on the Poggio.
2 times in the last ten years that the main group let a solo attacker go and couldn't bring him back. 2 times Ewan got 2nd.Ewan must be gutted, probably never get another chance like that at Milan San Remo.
I wouldn't say so. It's his second 2nd place in this race and 3rd top10. I'm sure he'll have his chances again in the future.Ewan must be gutted, probably never get another chance like that at Milan San Remo.
