Mobile version

With the new website design coming today, I hope we finally get a mobile-friendly version of the site. As it is, CN is sadly one of the slowest to load and hardest to navigate on a mobile phone. Cycling Weekly and Velonews cater specifically for mobile users. It's not too late to catch up!

+1 to that. I often look up CN on my phone and it's very frustrating!

The current page works almost perfectly on my n97. But I would prefer a mobile version as well.

I rarely post on the forum anymore (somewhat of a lurker), but I check the website daily, often from my phone. While it currently works fine, I would like to see a cleaner mobile version that allows us to read articles and follow the live coverage of races without all the clutter of links, you know? Maybe the changes will be more mobile friendly without launching a new mobile version.

couldn't agree more. i for one definitely need a mobile version. CN is the best cycling site for me and my N95 gags when it comes to loading the full version...

Where is the link to the Forums on the mobile phone version of the website? I can't find it. "Sections" doesn't have it. It's a real pain as I have to click back to the Classic version to find the Forums.

Would it not have been simpler to just host a ForumRunner or Tapatalk version of the site, complete with forum link??

Tapatalk has been suggested a few times. You are as well going to the fridge and talking to cheese.

Is there and rss feed available for any of the cn main site features, particularly the news ?

i am aware of and do use the mobile version, but would prefer the rss feed which i was unable to find.

I was able to easily find rss feeds for other cycling web-based sites but the cn.

there are loads..

races http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cyclingnews/race/results
news http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cyclingnews/news
blogs http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cyclingnews/blogs
featured http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cyclingnews/features

The trouble I have found, is because they use feedburner and have ads prior to the article, they dont actually work with any of the newsreader applications I have tried on my phone.

So, they are basically useless. Even if you subscribe on the PC all you get is the title and an advert.
