Funny you get asked to not promote products you dont sell but others sell their services on here religiously and the mods allow for all the product bashing generalizations some of these guys can post

Boeing - I've still got a lot of respect for ya. So, to answer - anyone can product bash - that's just conversation. Get tedious - and say the same thing again, and again, and again - and it can become spam-like at times - but just being of a particular opinion - and sharing that when asked - is probably not.

Try and promote your OWN product - and that gets VERY touchy - and very quickly labeled as advert - thus is not permitted.

If you see somebody selling:

their services on here religiously

then I want to see a complaint in the complaint file. We'll check it out. Last I checked, one particular specialty crank mfr has pretty much put a lid on that, as requested. I don't recall seeing any others who didn't also get some sort of message from the mods.

If YOU work for a mfr, and somebody doesn't like your gear, and they talk about it as part of the conversations here - that is your PR problem - not ours.

I like to try and keep this corner of the universe civil, and the conversations level-headed. That doesn't mean I will tell people what to say, even if I think they are way off target. Unless what they say turns things uncivil, or is trying to start a fight. Right?

Now, PM me what bone is stuck in your craw, if you like. I think you know everything I just said - I don't think it is news to you. If it's just that you don't like some guy at the table next to ya because he's got an irritating voice, I can't help ya. But I'll listen, anyway.

Oh - and on re-reading, I notice your post, and my answer are OT - so I'm moving them to the mod thread.

Nothing happens. You get listed as friends on the user page.
