I'll be honest, in my time behind the scenes, I would say that 90% of what the members think is some kind of plot or conspiracy on the part of the staff or mods is completely off-base.

It's the wall of silence and the deletion of inquiring threads, and the banning of a previous mod over this, that I find to be hysterical.

Quite frankly, that is all kinds of wrong - you have gone exceedingly personal and now are getting people to PM you to smear them?

At one point I did consider your & RRs problem a slight miscommunication - now it has become obsessive and is basically bullying.

I was always in the 10% - to me it seemed a classic "he said, she said", I know who to believe but, CN were not in position to do much, and perhaps someone even made it 'legal' (If it wasn't going to be buried, that will bury it)

But now a new twist - if Bro is insinuating something, he should put up or shut up.

problem is Tom375 that trolling like this takes advantage of people like red_flanders and liberty seguros good natures, inciting them to give full and accurate answers to disingenuous questions. Also winds up the usual suspects, so the thread becomes circular.

Wrt to you and sceptic feeling it... I also had the feeling that he was going to get banned straight away - just not sure that's right... It didn't seem such a sophisticated "sock puppet" attack! It felt a lot more like a naive cycling fan walking into a ****storm to me! -
Don't get me wrong he definitely had the potential to clog up thread (no more than usual) , and I'm mot in favour of that... He didn't have the answers to anything asked.. However not sure so called "believers" ever do. Thay don't come into the clinic already armed - unlike Joachim who did! Personally don't see any likeness between the two apart from they were on the "sky frat side".

True. Ultimately he was perma-banned for returning as a sock puppet while temporarily banned (which he knew was bound to happen) as I recall.

But his agenda before, and after his ban, was to push—with a fair degree of force—Papp Gate. The way he "behaved" to those ends is what led to his removal, but nevertheless his agenda remained the same. At least that's how I remember it from my humble perspective. Having been a mod yourself, you may very well be in a position to correct me on any of that if necessary.

Yes that is all correct and I admire his stance. But even taking into account the aggravating circumstances it would have been hard to let it all slide. It's kinda straightforward if you persist when being directly asked to cease.

We don't get extra email space as mods. Try doing that job with 50 as a max.

You got to remember this was 45 years ago! I think I spent something like $16 for it - which was pretty pricey at that mom - it was selling out in LA for like 5??? Idk. I probably sold it for about the same price. Even today, if it were still in pristine condition - it would only go for 50-100. Not much better than inflation.

Yeah, I recall now. I thought they meant he was banned as a mod, not a poster. I couldn't recall any mod being banned.
