Although if you had to provide some sort of reason maybe the deletions would be easier to understand, and you guys would give a bit more thought to which and how many posts you deleted. If it was bad enough to need deleting then it was bad enough to tell the perp why. No?
Not really. When for istance you have to delete a 20 message convo (maybe because of clinic talk in the PRR) it doesn't mean all 20 messages are illegal.

I think the new mods are doing a great job right now (and the old ones too btw).

I would agree - although I would ask for some more clarity on how reported posts are resolved. For instance you just get a mail saying it has been dealt with and who did it, it doesn't actually explain what was done (if at all) and why. I think that would be an improvement.

It's a good idea in theory, but in practice I think it would end up a carbon copy of the sky thread.

The evidence thread could serve the same purpose if people wished to use that (and of course backed up their claims).

Thread Names

Would it be possible to name clinic threads differently than PRR threads? I end up in the Clinic at times when using the 'view new posts' and the names are the same. Happened with the Tejay thread this AM. Either that or rename the thread in PRR to the more usual '<rider name>discussion thread' for Tejay. Thanks!

I'm not saying that the names can't be changed, I'm just pointing out that the sub forum that you enter when you select a thread in the 'new posts' is included in the heading. It's always on the second line, under the thread name.

Got it. Mine aren't very young either. :D

I'll see if I can get the Teejay thread renamed. I'm thinking we try to change whichever came last? If there's any others that you know of can you compile a list? thx!

I put discussion thread after the name Dan, that makes it in line with the other rider threads in PRR. :)

Btw mods, one surefire way to spot a troll is posts that say something like - "the clinic is a farce" or"I come here to laugh at the idiots who post here" or really any other posts that throws blanket insults at the whole forum.

Obviously no rational person who comes onto the forum to debate is going to say things like that. Those break the - don't insult, and don't bait, rules anyway.

Right now the forum is infected with a lot of malware and someone in the mod team needs to go into the control panel and uninstall all dodgy recent programmes. As well as one or two old BPC programmes that
have been hiding on the system for a few years.

In the lance days these accounts that were engaging in the exact same trolling, were banned with a lot more frequency.

I really don't understand what the worry is. Giving a ban to a user who had only a few hundred posts or less doesn't carry the same weight as one to a poster who has a few thousand. Because no one is going to remember the poster so they are easily able to create new accounts. For this reason the leniency awarded should also be less. If posters come in from nowhere having demonstrated no desire to post with any frequency before and a number of their posts are clearly designed to bait, then they should be banned so that they understand that next time they set up an account they should behave better.

Generally any rational person when first joining a forum is on their best behavior. It should be immediate red flags all round if posters just joining / just getting involved after years of inactivity, go straight into baiting and insults.

As I said earlier, there really is no excuse to not ban people who insult the whole forum. They are clearly here to troll.

What is that supposed to mean?

Looks like someone deleted their message to you before you could read it..

You can always report it if you think something odd is going on..

That's a strange one...

Report it so we can see who it's from without going public.
I am afraid I can't report it because when I clicked it I got a message saying "do you want to remove this message" and I was so confused and clicked yes and poof it was gone :D
