I think the explanation is that it was getting a bit personal. You were not the only one with deleted posts.

If his posts didn't break any rules, they shouldn't be removed just because someone else couldn't hold their tongue.

And I didn't said they should. I was just pointing out what could have been the reason for his posts to be deleted.

Originally I closed it based on the fact that all its only purpose was as an insult to the clinic as a whole. There was nothing about it that had anything to do with doping or cycling of any kind.

Then I noticed the username of the OP, Hifor1min, obviously a formerly banned member. So banned him and deleted his post (which was that thread).

I don't think you can conclude that on the name alone. Hopefully you or another checked his IPs and info as well.
