McQuaid also has a job at the IOC, he is an IOC committee member since last year. Verbruggen is an Honorary member and he was Chairman of the Coordination Commission for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing in 2008, which is when a Tour Of China was no doubt conceived and planned.

Henry Kissinger is an honour member since 2000 and that to me speaks of the morals of the IOC.
