Says more about marketing than the music. Even so, You Am I have got a fair few Arias etc. They were good from the very first song recorded. Can't say the same for poweder finger as they needed to develop a bit. I hardly ever listen to their first album (Parables for wooden ears) copmapred to You Am I's first 4 eps on Sound as ever.

Like I say Powderfinger are good but Bernard being the best song writer ever??? As they say in the movies, you are dreaming.

Firstly, parables of ears was their only **** album. Their new album golden rule has went platinum within the first week and has debuted at n.o1 on the aria charts. You should have a listen to it. it's great. i've already bought it. Just to let you know Tim Rogers from You Am I actually plays in their new album. You Am I have released 8 albums and have had less #1's than powderfinger. You AM I aren't bad but not better than powderfinger.

a lot of people have said that it has been surprising that powderfinger has not gone well overseas. lets just say their is a lot of crap on the charts these days.aussie music da best.

I'm entering a Damien Jurado concert in a few hours, so I've been listening to a couple of his albums today. He's one of the finest singer-songwriters out there, and I'm really looking forward to (finally!) seeing him live.

He may look like a hooligan, but he sure as hell can write a tragic folk song. 'Medication' is one of his best - although it's almost unbearable in all its hopelessness. Check it out anyway:

As part of dinner tonight, I opened a can of peaches. When I passed the dish to my husband at dinner, I said, "Eat a peach."

Damned if either of us could remember the band! We could both see the album cover in our minds, but the name of the band? Nothing!

He just went upstairs and rooted through the cd's until he found it. Allman Brothers, of course, and we are both going, yes, of course, I knew that all along......

I feel like crap...not listening to anything....I havent slept all night...
I dont feel like goin to my 8am English class....this morning is sucking so far!!!

Right now I hear "Lookin' out my back door" by CCR, one of my favorite summer songs, on the radio. Makes it a little easier to bear the heavy winds and driving rain of late autumn we are suffering through at the moment.
