Most folks don't want to hear the roots of the Charlie Daniels Band. Somewhere between Persia and Belfast....
So absolutely prescient and timely. Living in the era of Vietnam and Nixon's violation of "war rights" by conducting secret sh*t from Congress and knowing your draft number was coming due. Nixon was seriously researching the concept of a third presidential term and raiding offices of opposing opinion generators at the same time. That Roger Stone, pardoned by someone currently in the same Power mindset is still influencing policy actions says it all.
Much of the regional and Persian music goes back to 7th century, I don't know for sure but that was prior to Devil Going Down to Georgia.. As far as Neal Young- Tricky *** cross over..Most folks don't want to hear the roots of the Charlie Daniels Band. Somewhere between Persia and Belfast....
I've mentioned them before but one of my favorite, mostly instrumental bands is the Mermen. "Into the Resplendent" is completely and spiritually tied to Middle and SE Asia musical influences. It takes some skill to turn it into phenomenal surf and ski music but it surely works.Much of the regional and Persian music goes back to 7th century, I don't know for sure but that was prior to Devil Going Down to Georgia.. Canadian Louise Burns' album, Portraits sounds like an influence to her. Excellent.
