I am a fan of Gato Barbieri and I listen to his music very divided, he seemed to always have some approachable music on most of his albums and had song structures that feel like he was trying to make something with commercial appeal length and content. Other times when he played with others, he seemed to have some internal sync with keyboard players.. And I still like most of it.. When I listened to this track I thought of this, another band that would have done themselves a favor by allowing keyboards to drive some songs in my opinion..

I will be grateful to my grave for Bottom Line, Iridium, Blue Note, CBGBs, Continental, Bowery Ballroom, dozen others Cutting Room, Mercury Lounge,Knitting Factory... You could see stuff everyday of the week and often for cheap.. Every Monday or Tuesday at Iridium was Les Paul for $8 early or $10 buck cover 2_drink minimum and you never knew who was going to stop and play with him. Everyone was his friend.. NYC has too many to name..
