Thank you. Excellent songs.

I knew somebody had to get it, I got this on FB from a group of teens who started a band 3 or 4 years ago and we bumped into them in the pub after my fathers funeral, they played Zepplin,Phil Lynot and loads more, doing individual solos and all the guitar stuff, we started doing fan worship moves on the drummer, I don't do terminology, but they were brilliant and guess what, it was their first gig and half my family were bopping off the ceiling. Gerard is 19 and keeps posting these fantastic albums for me to lose hours over. more to come, especially if the blues be's your news!!

The real question though must be how did this band and album disappear??

I' been watching this for a few years now and when I put it up on FaceBook it blew some people away, I just found this bit now this morning and it's the opening sequence of that immortal Sing Sing concert by BB King, Joan Baez , The Voices of East Harlem and Jimmy Walker. It's in mixed up segments so I have no idea of the original order:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evprYOtosbI

RIP Scott McKenzie

Although I am afraid that song is probably significantly older than 90% of the forum users.......

This was on an album of 67 hits called "Big hits of 67", one of three or so that my 14 year old sister bought. The songs on it, though pop, are still played all the time now. Waterloo Sunset, Universal Soldier, Itchycoo Park, Whiter Shade of Pale, others I can't think of now but it settled me in quite nicely at four and a half years of age!!

What year is that from? It certainly sounds a bit harsher than their earlier stuff (and a bit less tuneful if I'm being honest). Simon from Sydney is much more up my street, and in fact the entire first album is one hell of a record.

.

that was from 2003 on the Freak EP. Yeah LFO's first LP is pretty special, I particularly like this one from Frequencies - Freeze

Mt Saint Michel + Saint Michaels Mount.

If you like the Black Keys, and I do, get Dan Auerbach's solo effort "Keep It Hid". It is the best.

I see why you say that. Here's the entire track listing of his "keep it hid" album:
1."Trouble Weighs a Ton" – 2:19
2."I Want Some More" (Wayne Carson Thompson) – 3:49
3."Heartbroken, in Disrepair" – 3:21
4."Because I Should" (D. Auerbach, Mark Neill) – 0:53
5."Whispered Words (Pretty Lies)" (Charles Auerbach) – 4:06
6."Real Desire" – 4:26
7."When the Night Comes" (D. Auerbach, C. Auerbach) – 4:11
8."Mean Monsoon" – 3:47
9."The Prowl" – 3:18
10."Keep It Hid" – 3:41
11."My Last Mistake" – 3:14
12."When I Left the Room" – 4:02
13."Street Walkin'" – 4:39
14."Goin' Home" – 4:57

I especially like #3 'heartbroken, in disrepair' (starts at about 6:06 of the entire album linked HERE)
