Music anytime, including on trainers. But for me it's all about music when not riding on the road. Personally, I like being able to hear the traffic. Especially on highways with rumble stips... you know, those grooves cut into the pave to wake the driver who has fallen asleep at the wheel on accident.

Nothing scarier or louder than a semi truck approaching from behind rolling along at 65 mph hitting a rumble strip. That's good for crappin bricks.

Thank you, we're on the same page then.

I've been a driver most of my life (before I decide to hop in this here bike I own now), and I tell ya, nothing upsets me more on the road as a driver than having a bike rider having his/her ears all plugged up with their latest, favoritest Ipod tunes. This to me, as the driver, means you cannot hear me... I'm trying to be as respectful as I can, and I'll swerve around you. But as long as we are sharing the same road I expect the same respect in return from you.

Other than that, well, I like all kinds of music.

Blackberry - Black Crowes
I was listening to this one a couple of minutes ago - well, actually I'm listening to the entire album 'Three Snakes and One Charm' at the moment. By no means my favorite Black Crowes album (that's 'The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion), but for some reason I usually return to this one when I want to revive my teenage fandom and love for the Robinson brothers.

I still love this majestic Southern rock ballad with guitar solo and gospel choir and all:

Someone on this thread turned me on to Rodrigo y Gabriela a few years ago. Fantastic guitar, just awesome. They in turn have put me on to Vicente Amigo. More flamenco than classical, but currently enjoying his 2005 album "Un Momento en el Sonido".
