It's quite sad when a (radio) DJ of your youth/musical formative years dies and that's the case with Andy Kershaw today.

He was a bit of a protege of John Peel. There was a fair bit of musical overlap between them, but he leant more towards African/Reggae etc/Blues and plain weird stuff like Ivor Cutler. I also remember him doing travel programmes about trips to places like North Korea - it's probably up on Youtube.
Here's a couple of sessions from shows he did. The first I remember taping and the second is just a random selection.

I am unfamiliar, I listened and it was an 80s, 90s time machine, a cleaner produced Sisters of Mercy or TSOL type vocal.. I looked it up and its a newer recording! Brilliant.. Added it for travel tunes, 10 songs on album.. This gives you New Order, Cure with some edge.

Alan Osmond, Oldest Member of The Osmonds, Dead at 76
Alan Osmond died on April 20, his family confirmed in a statement. The Osmonds singer had retired from performing 40 years ago after a multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
