You liked all three videos? Wow, you have eclectic tastes, like me. :p

Yes I did. Well, I have noticed your wide variety of musical taste. I do have somewhat of a variety of tastes too, including some classical (e.g. Bach etc). Not as much as some others in this thread maybe. But I also have my boundaries, mainly most RAP. However, I do like some RAP. So I'm conflicted.

I just found my new favourite band. Thank you, on3m@n@rmy.

Welcome. I have found many a new fav band here. But as for Ram Jam, it is too bad they were kind of a flash in the pan band (didn't do much after a couple releases). They had a lot of potential.

Another flash in the pan band: Head East - Never been any reason. I really liked them too.

One of my favourite Irish artists - Lisa Hannigan

Lille - Playful, yet melancholic and nostalgic

Personal Jesus (yes, the Depeche Mode song) full of tension that is ready to explode

That's a great song.

Have you seen Lisa Hannigan's video for the song 'I Don't Know' shot live in the snug in Dicks Mac's pub in Dingle?

Nice mellow, top songs.

Didn't Lisa Hannigan do some background voices for Damien Rice in 'The Blower's Daughter' and 'Volcano' among others.

Damien Rice - Volcano

Damien Rice - Dogs

Dam*. I didn't notice 'till you mentioned it. Plus, who knows in this global forum I thought you might pronounce it RomYom... or something. So you ARE RamJam...

I'm definitely not from continental Europe. The location's the country I am from. Nice song from Ram Jam.:D

Yea she used to do backing vocals for Damien Rice but went solo a few years ago and hasn't looked back since.

I haven't heard much of her solo work but she seems the goods and lets her music do the talking, which isn't the case for so many artists nowadays.

Kings of Convenience - Failure

Kings of Convenience - Toxic Girl

One of the heaviest songs in my playlist
Howling Bells - Low Happening

A classic

Bob Azzam - Mustaffa

Some good stuff there too. I really like Setting Sun by the Howling Bells. I saw them in Limerick a couple of years ago (there were about 10 people).

Really enjoying Setting Sun, I stumbled on Low Happening in Rugby '08 (not a great game, gameplay wise).

Why so few for their concert? I'd pay to watch them but all we get is Lady Gaga's stupid shenanigans.

I guess they hadn't got much airplay on Irish radio. I heard them on BBC radio of which I am a complete addict, due to the wide range of music. I mostly listen to Radio 3 (classical) and 6 Music (which is good for middle aged blokes like me who have eclectic tastes in music and like a mixture of old and new stuff. If you don't like hard music, then I'd definitely recommend Guy Garvey's programme on Sunday evening and possibly Cerys Matthews on Sunday Morning all available for a week on http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio if you haven't tried it out).

Thanks for that. I love the BBC as well, I listen to the World Service only though (I have a transistor radio) and a bit of Radio 3 live on the net. Time zones are a problem for live programming and I only listen to the programs which are on at around 3-4am GMT. Thanks for the link, I'm not a fan of heavy metal/ rock n roll, my ears are a bit sensitive to loud noises and because of that I never wear headphones (they aren't too dissimilar to the monkey).

Have you ever tuned in to Charlie Gillett's World of Music, it was on till he died and there were some magnificent songs from all parts of the world.

I did listen to his show. Here's another couple of shows on Radio 3. Look out for Lucy Duran's World routes (Sunday Evening) and World on 3 (sometimes run by Mary Anne Kennedy, a Scottish Folk Singer, and sometimes by Lopa Kothari, I think she has Indian roots and spent time in Mumbai)

As I said all available for 7 days.
