Rob - far be it from me to dictate who posts what on this forum, but I noticed that you haven't discussed cycling in any thread since August. Sure, this is the cafe section but this is still a cycling forum after all. We come here to socialize away from the cycling chat, not to dump on each other for having more posts than another person thinks is 'normal'. No need to reply because I won't come back to this ridiculous thread, but maybe your time would be better spent talking cycling with us. Or if it's the cafe you prefer - beer, or travel, or food, or cars, or hot chicks, or God forbid politics which I suspect is your preference... anything but a debate on who's time is wasted on the 'net. It's kind of childish.

Rob? Would that be me? If so, I suggest to you, if you want to waste just a little time, and I suspect you don't, but your post has a fairly balanced edge to it, so my thought is: Look and see how many posts I have ever made in which I took an active attack stance being the "original aggressor" in the thread. I don't believe I have ever (and I could be wrong but I don't believe I am) started a post where I went for somebody's jugular, a poster at this forum, from the get go. Yes, I confess, I am guilty as the rest of all of you here at the forum for "reacting" to a select few, to whom, what I call, the "Vampires;" those who take offense to posts that speak the Truth. But isn't that really what we all are seeking? The Truth? The truth is (no pun intended), the Truth is not a very comfortable experience when it exposes how much people have lost touch with who they truly are. I happen to bring up the subject of addictions, which is with out question an underlying disorder in this country running rampant everywhere. It's a subject that most people are in DENIAL about.

I mean, can you blame them? Who wants to admit "Yes, I have some obsessive disorder that I just can't seem to overcome." But until "it" is exposed it and addressed, this denial of what is real will just keep manifesting through out our lives and will continue to affect and infect the rest of those on the planet.

I'm kind of tired of watching DENIAL be the excuse. That's why I respond to individuals like BD and TfF by directly "turning on the light" so to speak and showing them and others here who's real and who isn't. Take a look at the video's that I brought to the table in this thread. Mr. Carlin is telling it like it is. He's pushing some pretty big buttons, locally. People don't like to hear that. I mean, all of our life-styles are about to be changing dramatically. We've been processed and brainwashed, and it's a taboo subject. We want more and more, not less and less. It's what we've been bought up on. Well, that world is coming to an end, and it's going to be heavy. However, there are some at this forum who "get it." Who know what's coming. Who see the obvious writing on the wall. I enjoy interacting with them. Sharing, if you will, what I have and reading what they have to offer. If someone want's to start a fight, I don't mind going toe to toe. Like I said, I won't start it, but in the process of ending it, I'll tell it like it is, as I see it. And, if I happen to use language that some want to label "insulting" then I look to the one who makes the claim and I see what button of theirs I've pushed "from the original post." Comprende?

Now you have done it. The Muppet got his nickname by posting endless new threads about Armstrong. If Armstrong scratched his ass, the Muppet would post a new thread. If Armstrong picked his nose, the Muppet would post a new thread. If there was a thread about what Armstrong ate for breakfast, the Muppet would start a new thread about Armstrong's breakfast. It was several new threads about Armstrong every day. It is why we have Dim's sticky thread in the pro forum.

It is really funny that he turns out to be a New World Order conspiracy nutter. It reminds me of the troll Tom Morris, who turned out to be a bigfoot researcher.

Let's see...how does that go? Oh yes, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi ~

You're all over the board on that one, BigDeal.

Wow, I guess I pushed some pretty volatile buttons with you in particular. Sorry. Did you take George's rant a little too personal? Your tone seems to indicate immense frustration and deep pain.

You might want to take a break from the computer. Really! I mean it. Try to work off slowly. Get it down to 8 hours a day. Try that for a week. Then cut down to 6 hours a day for a week and so on. If you need some direction, some help during the process, I might have some contacts for you to get in touch with.

Okay, that is good trollkraft there. Good work, seriously.

You left out the part where Ghandi reminded us that when it comes to true nutjobs, they just keep laughing and laughing and laughing. And when the whackjobs make their weakass attempts at a comeback, they laugh even more.

As you stock your seed bank to replant the world, do me a favor. Leave out goathead thorns. I know that it must be tempting to think of yourself as a modern day Noah and thus aim to save a seed from every plant, but trust me. Some plants don't deserve to survive Doomsday.

I finally figured you out and why you post so much.

You talk incessantly, but you never say anything of value. You simply react. Have you always had such a low self esteem issue? I mean, five thousand one hundred and seventy one, give or take the next five you'll be posting in the next few minutes. Do we have some insecurity issues here? Some past childhood neglect? You obviously don't need approval as much as you just need the attention. And that's "mental"...ADHD?. Which means you've given out in the heart region. Do you live alone? Still with your parents?

Boy, when you get your buttons pushed, and I certainly have a direct line on yours, you loose it. Sorry, but you had it coming. You started it.

You truly need some help. Really, you do. I suspect those, in the club house here, over the last year, have just learned to live with your chronic "problems."

Now, why don't you take a deep breath, turn off the computer, get off the couch, put the beer and chips away and go for a bike ride? Okay? That's a good place to start. It will clear the mind, even if you can just go out for a few minutes a day. It's a place to start from. Again, try to reduce your full day and night on the internet to just, maybe 8 or 9 hours. This will help. Good luck. I'm sure there are many here that will give you their support. So, don't be afraid to ask.

Awesome, always the best defense.

You have to realize that Robert the Muppet has serious projection issues. We found that out when he posted baseless accusations to the "Obama" thread about people being out of work losers. We then found out that he is a Unibomber like recluse living off the grid and pooping in an outhouse as he formulates his mad theories about the end of civilization. Look to his accusations to know him.

I got you pegged, man...you are a BigDeal.

Five thousand One hundred and eighty Six. Ten more just in the last few hours. Your loosing it, man! Seems like when I hit your "bingo" buttons, you fly off the deep end and you go into hyper-posting mode.

What does that tell us about you? A...D...D...I...C...T!!!!!

Contain yourself! Get off the juice!

Like I said, you need to ride a bike. Now maybe you sold your bike so you could pay your last months internet bill, but if you have to, go borrow a friends. I don't consider myself a friend of yours, be heck, just to get you off the "buzz" I'd loan you my road bike for a week or two. It's a litespeed Ultimate that basically sits on the wall cause I'm pretty much addicted, that's right, you heard it, I'm pretty much addicted to riding one of my Scott Sparks. I confess, my addiction is to cycling. I don't talk about it, the addiction, I just go out and do it. Everyday. That way, I pretty sure I'll be on top of the podium come race day. I now that's might be hard for you to comprehend, but imagine this. If you took all that time you spend on the internet and applied it to riding just even a half hour every other day, you might get a "feel" for what I'm talking about.

I would be willing to loan you my bike, but you'd have to promise me you'd reduce your internet time down to 8 hours a day. I know even the thought of such a reduction is a major button pusher, but I'm just trying to help.

What do you say, pal?

Competition is for the Competent.

I think I got in forty posts while watching stage 11 of the Giro. :) Meanwhile you were figuring out whether the New World Order is controlled by the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers, or the British Monarchy. Good luck with uncovering the conspiracy.

Compare your post total to mine and kill yourself.

Go Bro. Go Bro. Go Bro.

This quote from the "economic collapse" thread is gold:

There are so many "trip wires," all it's going to take is one so called "terrorist" to put an end to one of the major tours, if not all. Maybe Mossad has it on standby, already? Anyway, I just purchased another Mt. Bike as back up and have been getting some spare parts in case distribution becomes an issue.

You really cannot make this stuff up. The Mossad is going to bomb the Tour or maybe the Vuelta. Da Joos hate cycling. Oh, noez!

Robert Merivel grow up and act your age

I think he has, about 6 and a 1/2 in annus's, he pushes precious buttoni, very well, his eloquence is deathmaking in its demand to be seen as the truth of the vine, the fruits that are fermenting on the ground need to throw up and act their rage. Then 'eavything will be fined.

It is the funniest thread I've not started, for years

There is so much to reply to, I have even met peoplke addicted to meetings, one of our local guys has given up meetings and substituted racing for curative.

If some one is really together, then they would ring their sponsor before replying, if he was any good at his life saving job, then he would say to delete your messages and replace them with the Serendipity Prayer.

Everybody on here is right, in the wrong sort of way, my big guess of the day is that ROB couldna give a pimples period what is thought of him, I'm glad to occupy similar space, that may change.
