Contador is the best here and should be hard to beat if on form, Rodriguez has a powerful team and a good course for him and the same applies for Anton, a Spanish top 3 is a distinct possibility, Scarponis good and will beat Nibali and both will be backed by superb Italian teams. Menchov is a rider that fails to convince me on this course and his teams entry is not guaranteed.

Shleck to win, he is strong with a superb team behind him, Gesink and Basso to be close though but ultimately failing with Gesink passing Basso for 2nd on the last mountain stage, i think Gesink will make another leap in form, Sanchez and Van den Broeck consistent but unspectacular nearly men

Overall Giro has a stronger field than the tour for me but only if they invite Geox

I think this is far too speculative at this point to deserve its own thread, but does anyone think that it could even be possible that Contador wins all 3 GTs this year? IMO he could possibly do it, but it would require him dropping all other goals for the season (not hard for him), having no bad luck, anytime, over 9 weeks of total GT racing, and peaking perfectly for each event. Oh and he also needs to avoid being suspended by the CAS . Possible? I guess so. Likely? Not at all...

I do rate Gesink, but I think he will probably crash out when in contention for the podium as Vuelta 08(?). He's good at that
