Since it was Brady who thought highly of Cam, my gut is he saw a floor being someone like Bagent, and a ceiling maybe Purdy. A college guy who was in a small system, but MVP of that system who has all the tools to be a modern NFL quarterback if coached properly. Pete Carroll was fired for saying he expected to win right away, then going 3-14. But I'm sure not putting Cam on the roster, let alone getting him snaps in garbage time, likely bothered the Raiders brass. Then losing him to Miami likely irked Brady more.

This is why I don't see Miami showing interest in Murray. The two QBs they are likely to go into the year with are Ewers and Miller. If they get someone else, it will likely be on the cheap. They aren't paying Zach Wilson another $6m to stick around.

The Rams grabbing McDuffey shows to me they are all-in on 2026 coming season. Super Bowl or nothing.

Chiefs know this coming season is a washout. Rip the bandaid off, try to rebuild quick while they have a prime Mahomes, be good in 2027 or 2028 when he's fully healthy, and still young enough.

Jerry Jones is really kicking the can down the road on contracts. The deal he gave Dak was bloated because Jerry waited too damn long. Now he is tied to Dak. It's not as bad as the Browns and Watson, but that's the model he's following. Miami would have done that with Tua, but they made a huge mistake there, and Tua is finished. Everyone knows he needs to just retire.
