The tour ended 5 months ago, why is just coming to media now?

Potential to bring down the current Astana team, Lance, and the new Radio Shack sponsorship. Could be devastating for cycling. maybe the final blow - Lance and Contador out of the next tour (if there is a next tour).

The idea that this case could somehow prevent there being a Tour next year is just ridiculous. If anything actually comes of this, then we might have a cleaner Tour than we saw last year.

Best case scenario: a lot of big name dopers are kicked out of the sport, and Bruyneel, the most unapologetic pro-doping DS is forever banned from cycling. The shock of LA and AC getting caught would scare a lot of riders --it would be the best thing for clean cycling ever.

Worst case scenario: just like the threatened biopassport big haul that never came to be, nothing happens at. Everything gets swept under the rug, and the sport's reputation is tarnished even more, as once again, obvious dopers with a lot of money get to write their own rules.

I dunno, I've got a bad feeling about this. TDF has a huge doping scandal, year after year. If this takes down the Astana and the new Radio Shack teams, and takes down Lance and Contador, will the sponsors finally have had enough? There are lots of sponsorship option out there; sponsors don't need cycling or the TDF. I realize that I'm looking at the extreme outcome, but it is conceivable that the TDF could fold if the sponsorship $s are not there.
