New forks!

I've been running some old Magura Durin Marathon 120's for a while now and felt like it was time to upgrade.

Gone for some X-Fusion Slants, dual position 130-160mm. Arrived today so will hopefully fit them tonight, just need to get a pipe cutter and dig out my pedals... (can't remember where I put them).

Hoping to thrash them round Glentress next weekend.

Feel like a kid at Christmas! :D

Nice:)

Although a pipe cutter is quick and tidy, if you don't have one a hacksaw will do just fine. Put some electrical tape around the steerer to act as a guide, then file or sand off any sharp burrs that are left.

Don't forget to get a star-fangled nut too. I once ordered a fork that arrived on christmas eve, and was all keen to ride it over the holidays but didn't have a star nut, and all the shops were closed for 4 days:(

I went and bought a pipe cutter in the end as it was only £5. I also had a Hope head doctor lying around I used. :) The box had a star-fangled nut in it, I thought that would have been standard but seems not, that must have been very annoying!

The fork has performed brilliantly so far. It's going to get its first real test at Glentress this weekend...
