In that case you can always set the limit to 100 posts, by then you easily have filtered out the bots, and users can post within 10s. Sometimes when I arrive at the forum, I just open 10 tabs of interesting threads, and I participate in 3, instantly. With the 2min delay, I now sometimes just not post if I find it to be tedious and not important enough

Yeah, we can certainly adjust it a bit or make it based on post count wherein if you have X # of posts you can bypass it. It was just a starting point anyway, so happy to adjust it. Just give me a day or two and I can set it up.

I'm slightly surprised anyone is posting that quickly, but there again I am a very slow poster. A suspected bot had posted 6 times in 6 threads in 5 minutes: it was the Admin's suggested response to that.

It’ll also help the race threads for posters not being locked out for 1-2 mins while action is occurring.

Speaking of, I had 27 seconds before I could post again for this thread.

@Armchair Cyclist it’s probably easier for us to keep up with topics and not having mod duties to attend to.

So much can happen within a very short time in a race, and if you can't discuss things as they are happening in a live thread then it's no longer really a live thread.

Thanks to admins for making (future) adjustments though, that is appreciated!

@CParsons, the admin who seems to be the one that deals with the techy side of things, has PMed that accounts with more than 15 posts will be placed in a category where they will no longer have 'flood checking', the time gap enforcement between posts. I have thanked him and told him that I am sure that will be well received.

That will roll out ("it is done gradually as users use the site"), so please be patient if it isn't instantaneous.

Let us know if there seem to be knock on issues from this.

Can someone remind me of how many pictures can fit into one post? I tend to only run into the issue when making a race thread for a non GT stage race which I rarely do, but I forget how many it is and it's still mildly annoying after all this time.

Being able to see which images are the ones causing trouble rather than getting a generic error message is still my number one wish in terms of improvements to the forum software.
