Nah, Thor said he can climb so well because he's been training with Phil. So obviously the god of thunder will only finish second.

Haha...the "Beast of a Man" as PS always says has found himself. He is putting it to JV by keeping the maillot jaune...:D

Love to see Thor in the limelight!

As much as I would love to see Thor in yellow at the end of the tour - he would need to loose about 7-8 kilos and get a team who could put the hammer down for him in the real mountains.

Besides - JV is still after stage wins. Well, and the latest - Tommy D for GC.

greatest thread ever!

thanks, hitch.

was just having fun with this today. imagining all the predictions that 'yes, obviously this stage to luz ardiden will be the day hushovd finally gives up yellow, having only one second on bona fide gc candidate cadel evans.' and ending the day with everyone remarking on the amazing and unexpected jersey defense by the big man.

repeat every day for two weeks.

and the itt? 'well, this will finally be the day thor hushovd gives up the jersey, as he sits only one second in front of the second placed rider and the long itt is not his specialty.' only to have him miraculously defend once again!

in the end, the god of thunder will carry his slim margin all the way to the champs elysee, winning the tour by one second over his second placed rival. :)

Not just winning the tour - but because he was up there in every finish the Green as well - he also become Garmin sprinter because Tyler dropped out so on the champs Elysee Julian Dean drops hit of with 100m to go and because he has lost so much weight his Power to weight ratio is up and he beats Cav to take the finial stage , Yellow and Green.

PS he may lose it today............ to the break

too bad there was no prologue this year as he is putting some crazy watts out there on these climbs and probably could have challenged Hypocratacus in a short ITT.

Pfffff for real? Get a grip of yourself, this is ridiculous! Hushovd will have atleast 3 minutes on the nr.2 for sure.

yes.this i would like to happen.hushovd will come back on the tourmalet descent with andy and contador and then crazy shiit happens,he cracks both of them and arrives first on luz ardiden.damn that would be awesome.but not more awesome than thor hushovd climbing alpe d'huez in 35 minutes.

Doesn't he look like he lost quite a bit of weight on this pic?

He looks so.. hm.. dry.
2 more days of the same diet and the guy will turn into an awesome climber with all the power he packs in his legs.

Could also be the JV not allowing him to eat so he cracks and Garmin can get back onto the program of getting CVV,TD or Ryder in the top 10 then it will be a great Tour rather than having 2 stage wins, Possible green and Yellow for 9 stages that would be stupid
