Figure its time to consolidate and to put them all in one to keep the plethora of threads from starting up. Mainly so I can find them all in one place so I don't have to keep digging for them after they've good by due to the high quantity of them.

So just new cycling equipment, so not the crazy stuff from 1800's or what not, well just for reference lets keep it 21st Century, some one else can start a 20th or 19th Century thread if needed, figure a Century at a time should be good enough for the thread police.

To end this, ONLY!

Then there was that cardboard helmet, the one I was looking for but has gone way too far down now.

Here's an interesting view of the air-bag helmet also called the invisible helmet:

A static pic for reference or in case you can't see the vid.

A close up of the neck piece which contains the air bag helmet, not sure that would work for a racer or hot environments.

I'll reserve this post for the next half-dozen bottom bracket "standards." Because that's what the industry really needs right now, solutions to problems that don't exist.

No kidding! Just read a review of a Moots 29r where the reviewer said the press fit bb30 started creaking after just a few rides. And this was acceptable! WTF in a $3000 bike?

Alright! Tiso is not upping the ante and not only going electronic but wireless! The way electronic shifters should be done, well I used to have the Mektronic which was wireless and don't quite see the tech in the Di2 setup, I mean if you're going electronic why leave it so low tech when you can do what every other modern device is doing and go wireless

Oh, and the upping the ante is its 12 speed :D

Shown with wires here but they will be removed.

No word on the brifters but they're planning for 2012 release, not sure when in 2012 though.

With the most idiotic the ones that are unique to the frame, like cervelo and Look. Guess they were too young to remember the Merlins, Fishers, Kleins that had unique to those frames, BBs.

There hasn't been any real innovation since the mid/late 80s. Index, lever mounted shifting, clipless pedals. The rest is mostly pablem, marketing BS, standards that are pushed, then abandoned.

The look system is a good one, the only problem is it is unique, expensive, and comes in three "lengths"

Yes, its gadgety but hey that's what this thread is for, could see some marketing types adding that to the Tour GT boys for an even micro second advantage, even if mental.

You would have to be mental to think that those little airfoils would make any difference behind the turbulence made by the very un aero tire and rim.

Those hubs are unfortunate. I'm sure he's got plenty of tri dorks lined up in droves ready to drop $675 for a hub set just based on that key variable, AERO
