Good to see the argyle back here: very brave. Disappointed by the black strip at the front. Though highly legible, it just doesn't work.

I say, bring back the distinctive orange-blue mix!

Yeah, very distinctive orange-blue mix.

The black Garmin strip doesn't bother me that much. I really like that jersey.

Umm, is that BMC's actual road colours too? Or just TT?

Cattle off for some aero testing?

Good to see G-C in white.

Maybe Black for TT and Red for the Road - all black stupid on a bike in France in summer

PS like the Garmin Kit

the black kit for bmc is a bad idea. i already see evans on the side of a road in the alps with smoke/steam coming out of every hole in his body like that bike on the zoncolan

I hope it is the TT kit and the road kit is different

The new kit is supposed to be TDF thing only.

Says on their site "for the tour de france and going forward"

Dimspace would disagree with that but yes that will make the hot imo.

dont think we need to go through this again. But yes, black will draw heat away from the body and make you no warmer than white whatsoever.

I actually prefer the standard version for the garmin kit. Nerve quite understood the criticism. I agree they were hard to distinguish from sky, but aesthetic-wise they looked simple and classy. I like colourful kits as much as the monochromatic ones. They mean business:cool:

About this new one. Like other posters said, the black stripe is enough to ruin the looks of the whole. Glad to see the argyle back though.

My 2 cents.

It looks more like a Slipstream kit. I prefer it. I feel the black suits BMC more than others because it agrees with the graphics they use on the bikes.

I think the Garmin strip is a step backwards.
Radioshack had a bad strip last year, but really stepped it up this year.
This is the reverse of that.
White looks very generic and the blue and blue Argyll is missing that touch of something special.

It was always the Orange sleeves which stood out of the pre-cervelo strip.

my 2c :)

The real proof, to me, is how distinguishable it is from the helicopter overhead view.
I mean, let's face it: That is where we see most of the race from. Yet I am amazed at how few teams seem to take that into consideration with their kit design. It's the one (and only) thing I'll give Radio Shack—their kit is very identifiable from above.

I'm anxious to see how some of these new color schemes from other teams standout when viewed from the "eye in the sky." :)

It must be some kind of joke. An all black jersey is a ridiculous idea for mid summer.

Hence why Cervelo always changed to white. Similarly the reason why sky adopted a white rear to their jerseys..

you mean the haven't changed their jersey for commercial reasons? given both vaughters and vroomen have mention the commercial aspect of the argyle?

Castello reference the psychological affect of a white jersey. it makes the riders think they are cooler. not cooler.

The Argyll is back, hurrah, hurrah! I'd rather have seen the orange back too, but it's a lot better than the black stuff.

I'm surprised that sponsors let teams get away with confusing kits. After all, if you're Garmin and paying however many millions to get your name out there, you don't want people confusing you with Sky do you?

I love it! It's distinctive, and I won't be wondering who's who. The only way it could be better is if they stick with black shorts.

Maybe not, but on the other hand argyle isn't Garmin's trademark, it's Slipstream's. Black, white, and blue would be Garmin's colours.
