The new Leopard - Trek kit ...... whats the issue with it .. kinda retro

Just to be different - I actually like this jersey the way it is.....

What ever floats your boat I say ...

Anyone got any Idea where the kit is available????? Seriously !!
Don't you know that the fashion police around these parts will be fixin' to put you in the pokey if you wear team kit? And a kit that's raising this much of a rhubarb is sure gonna make it easy for 'em to round up a posse, and track you down! (unless you're fixin' to get yourself one of them speedy new Bi-cycles that go with the outfit)

I don't think the UCI has any say on that unless a team tries to copyright a particular design style. Otherwise, they'd have had to bring out injunctions against the Continental equivalents of Rabobank, Milram, Katyusha (maybe not Katyusha) and Liberty Seguros because they are, by the eyes of officialdom, completely separate teams from their ProTour equivalents. And what of those Colombian teams whose jerseys look suspiciously like European teams, such as Duitama-Club Omni? Or the historic 'twin teams' of Boyacá?

But the UCI has the ability to fine Radioshack for the Black-Jersey scandal in last year's TDF right? I don't think they care so much if teams in different divisions have similar jerseys, but for ProTour-level and pro-continental teams I'm sure they have some say. Thats why teams like Quickstep (Remember the first time they planned to wear the retro-kits in 2009?) and Radioshack hve run into trouble!... Surely if they can tell you not to change kit they can tell you that you have to change it as well?

It looks good despite the crap painted on it.

No, there are certain limits on the original design you choose (and strict regulations on UCI-mandated designs such as the rainbow jersey), but as long as a jersey falls within those, it doesn't matter how closely it resembles another team's, because the other team doesn't "own" that design. Does the Spanish FA demand Atletico Madrid or Almería change their shirts because Athletic Bilbao had a red and white striped one first?

The problems with Quick Step and Radioshack was that they changed the jersey without giving the UCI satisfactory pre-warning. Cervélo had no problem changing their jersey mid-season - twice.

The UCI will want to check every UCI-registered team's jersey before it's presented, to make sure that it conforms to the regulations. But 'don't look like any other team' is not an enforceable regulation. Otherwise you'd have thought AG2R and Xacobeo-Galiçia would have had words, or CCC Polsat and Euskaltel.

Ahhhhhh incredibly humerous ... well said though..

Correct that if one doesnt conform to views of a said few one will be outcast to the bad lands forever ...

My original question still stands though .... availability ... p.s. already ride a TREK

I really don't mind the jersey. A little bland, a little too similar to others in the peloton, but it's ok. But those bibs suck. That stripe makes them look like women's shorts. Which is fine if they're worn by women (enter Schleck joke here). And the bike, somebody show it to Radiocrap please. Turns out the Madone is a nice looking bike if the paint scheme doesn't make you nauseous.

I think it's easy to tell Sky from Garmin-Cervélo: Sky has big Adidas stripes down the sides and Garmin-Cervélo have the big fat é everywhere. Leopard-Trek are without stripes and é.

For me the Sky is the nicest of the black/white/light blue mob, but overall, I like the Lotto kit best. The Lotto's distinctive in it's colouring, and more imaginative in it's composition without being zany. Second HTC, third Katusha.

I'm not a fan of that team, at all. But, that jersey is light years more attractive than that last rag they were wearing. And if the back is like the front, it will be easily distinguishable from the chopper shots.

what is that nO1 jersey the other guy is wearing, looks great

I think that guy might be Jenson Button, the former Formula One Drivers Champion. Although, I don't have a clue about the jersey.
And with regard to the Stars. I think he's trying to tell us that Texas is a really swell state (Lonestar, W, and all that...) Of course, he's got the cameras covered, whichever cheek they choose to shoot.

Oh. That red and white Radio Shack kit blows away the 2010 kit. Hope to god that is the official version. Even though I am not a huge fan of the team I'd prefer them to not look awful.

Texas is not about Lance or W... It's a frame of mind. Being independent.

Take it easy pardner. I never tried to define what Texas is about. But there is a Lonestar involved with that State, isn't there? And now that you mention it, W, and Lance do come from there don't they? And finally, I never mentioned anything about Texans being thin skinned.

Wow, RadioShack Jersey looks great!
I rather like the leopard one, btw...
Don't think that is the 2011 jersey or Robbie McEwen would have been in it in the Aussie Championship a couple of days ago?
