Far too much "how good will this look at the snazzy team launch" and far too little "how good will this look from a helicam on a rainy day in Belgium" going into these kits. The team launch happens once. The race days happen hundreds of times. They are where it's important to be distinctive. You always know where Lampre, Farnese Vini, Euskaltel or Cannondale riders are in the bunch, just as in years gone by we had Saeco, Relax-GAM, CSF-Navigare and ONCE. Immediately noticeable, this gets the riders more recognition for the sponsors since the commentators don't have to work out which team is making a move, they can say it without thinking.

FDJ are the best, simply because the kits they wear look great AND because of the recognisable, large pattern they are immediately easy to spot as well.

And jesus christ, more black. It was okay the first few times when it was a rarer site in the peloton. Now it is just becoming overwhelming. Swap the highlighter and the black on the jersey and it would be much better.
