Any way this is official?

no. Garmin is now the secondary sponsor, Cannondale is primary.

Netserk is right, the fight for breakaway happens only when the break will take the stage, otherwise it just forms with a few proconti riders and occasionally a PT Rider with no contest.
@PeterB, I really enjoy breakaway sprints, it is definitely much more watchable than a 1 km drag race.

Couple of good examples from the Tour this last few years - in 2013 when Mate of Cofidis ended up the only man in the break and 2014 when Voigt and a few PC riders just rolled off the front in Yorkshire.

Has a Sidi logo on it, so no (Mavic will supply shoes).

yep, that's just someone funny trying to imagine the jersey

about the MAVIC shoes sponsor for ALL riders. it will be a slow shift. the riders will not have to wear Mavic on JAn 1, they will slowly change during the first part of the season.
Hesjedal was photographed in Maui last week and he was still on his shimano shoes. if they had to change fast I guess he would be already trying some Mavics

Exact same feelings. Hopefully, with the help of the team they will develop a nicer looking road helmet.

My hope is that the team at least goes to one of the dark "POC Race Day" helmets debuted at Interbike.

They are the same design, only with a darker colour, aren't they? They are extremely ugly either way. I've seen a guy using one in MTB and it kinda looks good, but definetely not for rodies. That said, the helmets are very high quality.

Yep, same exact design... however I personally believe the darker colours make for a better looking helmet. The blue above looks far darker in person.
