New method for rear wheel attachment?

looks interesting and might even provide a partial solution to disk brake challenges for road racing. It might allow faster changes with through axels and fewer dropped chains or any issue with the chain. it would allow a rider to remain in what ever gear he was in and therefore easier to start up again after the change. might solve any compatibility issues between drivetrains. It is independent of the number of gears too. While I doubt this would be backward compatible to 8,9 or 10 speed it could be independent of the number of cogs too.

Cinelli did this back in the late 1960's If I remember correctly. Look up the Cinelli "Bivalent" hubs. I believe the hubs were made by Campagnolo and used Regina freewheels.
