Hi,

As I only started following cycling a bit more seriously this year, I find myself not always really sure on who to root for.
Are there some stand out friendly riders out there, like genuine nice guys? I always appreciate good sportsmanship.
So on that same topic, are there riders around who are known for their arrogant and disrespectful attitude?

Excuse me if this is a bit of a lame topic, but I am really curious.:D

Guys like Jens Voigt and Chris Anker Sørensen are pretty awesome and humouristic, I think.

Just follow Jens' twitter-account and find some of his interviews on YouTube. Chris' funny interviews are all in Danish, so unless you're Dane not that interesting.

Edit: And, of course, Jens is very attacking which always helps.

Yes British riders like Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas are all just super friendly, Froome and Porte not quite so nice but they try bless them (but not Mrs Froome - very mean!)

Wiggins of course :D Always seen joking around and putting his arm round fellow riders (like when he bossed Nibali last year). Can also be found playing harmless practical and audible jokes on reporters/press which is always refreshing to see given the usual boring, scripted, predictable quaffle riders come out with. Also doesn't mind saying how it is, which is always fun to watch in sport.

Plus, you get to marvel at everyone's pretty, jelous hatred of him on here :D

Of all guys, Sir Wiggo? Are you guys joking?

I think people have warmed to Cav, actually. He used to be Public Enemy No. 1 around these parts. Barely a squeak now, and he's still winning just as much. He's definitely matured.

Why is being arrogant a bad thing?

Awesome talent but never been a fan of Cav's attitude. Watch Sagan in TDF 12 and make your own opinion; he seems to split opinions. When I first watched his face after winning his 2nd stage, I wanted to......nevermind
