NO coverage of Junior and U23 TT and RR Worlds

According to Belgian journalist Karl Vannieuwkerke there will be no coverage of the time trials and road races of the juniors and U23's due to the lame Dutch broadcaster NOS

Karl Vannieuwkerke ‏@Vannieuwkerke

Karl Vannieuwkerke ‏@Vannieuwkerke

Well that's a pity:( Was looking forward to see the young guns performing.
At least they should have telecasted the RR

Didn't I warn you about the NOS coverage before?

They're a pathetic excuse for a broadcaster. Really, if there's one organization in the Netherlands where capabilities don't matter and connections and top-down approach works, this is it. They don't give a **** about any sport but football.

I mean, unbelievable, the biggest cycling event in your country, you would expect the broadcaster to be excited and to provide a good show. But no, the only thing they care about is an easy schedule and more time for their ****ty faces in the studio (that's what they always do during live races, show fat anchorman Mart Smeets).

Sorry for the rant.

Reason is money, apparantly. They feel they have to broadcast the event if they provide live registration, and say they don't have mone for it.

Luckily the Dutch audience can enjoy known doper Michael Boogerd in the studio
