Not sure I understand. Are you actually writing a book or talking about writing one?

I think I understand now. He said "in my book", so he must have already written it. In it, Tyler and Floyd are liars and have no credibility. I think we just read him wrong.

Should probably read the book too.

No, I was just pointing out that both Tyler Hamilton & Floyd Landis have no credibility because they are confessed liars.

Are confessed liars better than non-confessed liars?

or

Confessed liars who are about to write a book than a non-confessed liars who've written a book? (with help)

I think he already wrote his book, and so did Floyd. Tyler hasn't written one yet, but it probably won't be very good because he already told us all the good stuff on 60 Minutes.

Floyd wrote his book of lies before he told the truth.

Tyler is telling the truth before he writes his book, so it will probably be full of lies.

And Tyler would just LOVE to be put away for perjury charges. Federal prison is such a fun place for a skinny 140 pound guy with shaved legs.

Not at all. Both are to be distrusted. Point is, if somone admits to lying, why would you believe anything that they say?

All of a sudden, this time they're telling the truth? How do we know that?

No, but it may as well have.

bit harsh, i thought it was an inspirational story which prompted me to watch more cycling.

What can I say, Sally Jenkins writes compelling fiction.

Because the "story" is a leak of grand jury testimony, and as a leak, cannot be confirmed as true. And the GJ transcripts are not published for review by USADA/USAC/UCI/WADA/AtoC organizers/BMC team/etc...

There's nothing actionable about GH's history that can be proven - thus no cause to prevent him from racing.

FWIW I don't doubt that the story of GH's testimony is broadly accurate, but it's not solid enough for authorities to suspend him.

So, if GHs testimony is a leak and unable to be confirmed, why is everyone speaking about George's emissions, ejaculations, admissions, as if they were fact. Also why prey tell would the Chimera Twin's admissions be so groundbreaking in the clinic, just because he made 60 minutes. Or, Mr. Jack Daniels, stood me up at the Madonna Inns coffee shop manROD, be so groundbreaking just because he spoke to Kimmage?
I guess if Lance does any or all of those things, he is a trooth teller?

He would? Who in their right mind would love that?

He's lied before... why not this time? People do stupid things every single day, and apparently Tyler's not all that smart to begin with.

So when someone (I'll help you here - Armstrong) doesn't admit to lying and keeps lying means he's to be trusted more than someone who puts their hand up and says: "I made a mistake, I'm sorry, I lied, I doped, but here's why so others dont gp through what I went through" we shouldn't listen?

You obvisoulsy don't have children or ever had to mentor someone have you? Humility is a wholesome trait in person. Much undervalued.

If Lance is truly "livinstrong" he'll man up and admit to his past mistakes.

It's kinda like this;

Tiger Woods tells his wife and the world he's not being unfaithful. We (and his ex-wife) now know different.

So when Tiger now says he was being unfaithful I guess we can ask the same question, right? Do we really know he was being unfaithful?

Floyd's story sounds very similar to Tyler's story and every day there seems to bring more and more corroboration.

Feel free to move on from this line of query.

I don't recall saying that. In fact, what I actually said was 'both are to be distrusted'

A little presumptuous, are we? I'm not sure how you are coming to these conclusions. How is it obvious that I don't have children or have ever had to mentor somoene? How did you draw those conclusions based off of anything that I have said?

If Lance is truly "livingstrong" he'll man up and admit to his past mistakes.

Agreed

I'm not sure that really makes sense... The better question is, if Tiger remarries, is accused of being unfaithful and denies it, should we believe him?

What conclusion can we draw from this? Well, their stories seem very similar, so this time they must be telling the truth? Hardly...

Sorry to say this, but it sounds so much like what says someone to their spouse when they cheated. Most divorce, but the offender is and ever shall be a cheater, liar etc.

No, that is patently wrong.

We are talking about lying then telling the truth about the same set of events. Not about telling a lie about one set of events, then expecting the truth about a subsequent, seperate set of events.

I'm hearing you man. At least Livestrong didn't whimp it with Kik when she found out about his cheating. Told her to get out and stop questing the man.

No, we're talking about credibility. In other words, why all of a sudden would we believe anything that Floyd or Tyler have to say when they've lied in the past?

Do I believe that both Tyler and Floyd doped? Yes... absolutely. That's not the issue. The issue is, the first time around they denied it. Now they've come clean. Fine... Great.

I still don't trust their testimoney concerning Lance. I trusted them the first time when they said they were clean and I was wrong. I won't make the mistake of trusting them again.

My wife and I agree, it was a fine day for Kik too. Not because Armstrong was a cheater(I don't know that) but just his personality. I believe to do what he has done Lance needs that personality. Pretty self centered and focused. Hard to live with. I like Armstrong but to have him as a spouse, not!

She wouldn't massage his calves and refused oral in the oxygen tent. No respect. At least Sheryl climbed d'Huez before having her backdoors smashed in.

Dude, maybe rethink that one. No reason to bring spouses, etc. into the mix.

Um, yeah...I'd like to second the motion for self-moderation on this one too.
Wtf, hog?

Tells us everything we needed to know.

I never believed Tyler or Floyd first time around, just not that stupid but I do believe them now. I was right once, whats the odds on me being right twice. Pretty good I think.

Well I guess it's a good thing you won't be on the jury then. You don't even know what their testimony is.... but yet you don't trust it.

Usually one will reserve that sort of judgement until after they hear the testimony, but I accept there is much emotion in fanboyland.
