I am really shocked about the Italians performance. I really thought they would come up big These olympics, but not so much.
XC or biathlon? I think they did well in the biathlon, the French are in another league unless QFM has a meltdown on the range. Italy won in Nove Mesto only because France brought their B team.I am really shocked about the Italians performance. I really thought they would come up big These olympics, but not so much.

Apparently they had bad classic skis, at least Graz did a decent Skating part.Xc skiing, the men were nowhere.
What does a yellow card in XC skiing mean?He got a yellow card, the usual punishment.
Where did you expect them to be?X
Xc skiing, the men were nowhere.
That is a real blunder, then. How on earth can they have bad skies in such proto typical Val di Fiemme condiotions?Apparently they had bad classic skis, at least Graz did a decent Skating part.
You get disqualified in the race where you get your second yellow. What does a yellow card in XC skiing mean?
How does that work in the Olympics if the skier doesn't compete in another Olympic race? Would the yellow carry over once they go back to regular season skiing? You get disqualified in the race where you get your second yellow.
Really, who have Norway invaded illegally recently, other than your head clearly? Not on all of them, apparently. It’s called hypocrisy and double standards.
Im not sure if the Olympic are special, but normally it transfers from WC to other FIS-races and the other way around. How does that work in the Olympics if the skier doesn't compete in another Olympic race? Would the yellow carry over once they go back to regular season skiing?

His leg turnover on that final climb was quite something to see!Gonna get some flak for this, and not a fan of kläbo at all, but c'mon. Being the best sprinter and then becoming not only a worthwhile distance racer but actually good is some feat in and of itself (even with the standard clinic and course design disclaimers).
Can't drop him? Well maybe he doesn't suck so bad after all eh?
I dislike him winning everything, sure, but the abilities are kinda undeniable. Which only adds insult to injury.
Why even bother having her race a classic sprint? Have her rest for the skating individual start. Not a surprise, but still a bit disappointing to see Diggins on the startlist for the sprint.
Probably so NBC can do the “coming up in tonight’s broadcast” and “coming up next right after (this 15 min long) commercial break, American superstar Jessie Diggins goes for gold in the sprint event.”Why even bother having her race a classic sprint? Have her rest for the skating individual start.
I’m just being harsh towards NBCI was the first person not to dig into Diggins, but you guys are way way too harsh towards her. Apart from her flamboyancy, she's been nothing but a great competitor. She, unlike many Americans in other sports, always performs during the World Cup stages, she honors Tour de Ski literally every year, something no other XC skier does. She massively improved her classic technique and endurance in late years. There's really nothing bad about her, once again it's not her fault English speaking media is shoving her up our throats, who else are they going to hype?
It's 100% stupid that she's doing the sprint tomorrow, but that's just the way she is, I honestly think she gives 100% every time.
with heats of almost 4 minutes, it's actually not a bad course for distance runners. But in classics, a medal would still be a huge surprise, of course. It's 100% stupid that she's doing the sprint tomorrow, but that's just the way she is, I honestly think she gives 100% every time.
Not me, I'm almost in love with her., but you guys are way way too harsh towards her.
It's nothing about her personality it's more the idocy of wasting energy on a Classic sprint, with injured ribs, 2 days before the biggest race of her life.I was the first person not to dig into Diggins, but you guys are way way too harsh towards her. Diggins skiing today is utterly ridiculous, but that's Team USA right now, just shaking my head. She should be at her hotel with her legs up right now. So dumb. It's nothing about her personality it's more the idocy of wasting energy on a Classic sprint, with injured ribs, 2 days before the biggest race of her life.
It's a nonsense she's skiing today, no other team would allow this but not only do the American skiers burn themselves out the coaches actively encourage it.
Today was a woeful prologue from the American girls, had it been a regular World Cup there's a chance only Diggins would have made the prologue(and even that wouldn't be certain). Great prologue from Ogden but the rest of the team look completely out of shape.
