Oftebro is in insane ski form at the moment and he probably won‘t fall for Vinzenz Geiger wheelsucking because he isn‘t that far down and because Geiger has played that trick a few times. Don‘t see Lamparter winning but he can sprint, the other Oftebro also has a good chance at a medal. Stefan Rettenegger doesn‘t have the sprint and Ilves hasn‘t been strong enough this season in my opinion. Anyone behind Oftebro/Geiger needs to hope for some track stands, which isn’t totally unrealistic at least. Such a great sport to watch (at least without Riiber). No Riiber makes the NC more interesting. Oftebro looks favourite currently.

Jeanmonnot is fallible in a last lap shoot IMO. In the sprint, if either hit 10/10 they've won so we are basically just hoping that they hit 90% and Vittozzi skis as fast as today's first two laps and doesn't miss, or the Swedes ski fast again.Jeanmonnot/Simon are practically guaranteed a gold in either sprint or pursuit, or both, and the Relay will be a pretty boring affair as well.
Vittozzi's issue was the shooting, not the skiing... 80% in an individual just isn't good enough, especially among the women. The French might very well take all golds in women's biathlon just like the Swedes will probably do in women's XC skiing and Norwegians in men's XC skiing. Not good when this happens.
Fantastic bronze medal for Hristova, disappointing skiing performance from the Öberg sisters, Vittozzi and Wierer.
Better than Norway winning all the golds in men's and women's Biathlon, XC and NC. Which was feasible a few years ago.The French might very well take all golds in women's biathlon just like the Swedes will probably do in women's XC skiing and Norwegians in men's XC skiing. not sure about the others, but Elvira often tends to struggle at high altitude. Probably also a reason why she wasn't selected for the relayNice to see Bulgaria with a medal! The French, as expected, supreme.
Sweden so slow... what's happening?
Iliev was running like it was 2015 yesterday, but made a mess of things at the range, unfortunately.Hristova has been a solid prospect for a while, did well in last year's World Championship individual similarly. The Bulgarian team, Todorova aside, is full of decent talents but this is quite the shock. And also why purists love the Individual, it gives the best chance of surprises like this.
And the French authority did suspend most of it, give her a shortened time out of racing then apply it at a time so that she only missed one race weekend. I think it is only fair some people might think that she got off incredibly lightly, especially with Justine off the team, even if the others who've voiced issues of a similar manner with her, like the Chevaliers, are now retired.Simon shushing at the finish line is very funny, given she did bring her suspension entirely on herself. Biathlon has a good set of characters!
