the Germans have been completely off this Olympics so far, and also had bad ski in Nordic Combined. So I honestly wouldn't really expect too much. The Germans will likely have good skis and if all of them ski their A-game they're clearly a solid threat for Bronze; I also see Finland in with a shout for Bronze too; again, so much of the fight for the last medal will come down to who has the skis and which team can avoid having that one skier who just melts down on the day. Also agree with BullsFan, Switzerland is for me a dark horse for a medal, they have been getting some sneaky good results and if they medaled that would be the highlight of the competition so far for me. (Along with Estonia cracking the top 10!)
A lot will probably depend on Niskanen being able to follow the best or not. It didn't look like in Skiathlon, but 7.5k may be a different story. If so, Ryytty can then extend the gap following Frida and/or Simpson-Larsen, if not, she'll be left in no man's land and the gap will be too small for Joensuu to survive.
edit: and while Brennan has had a crappy season of course, she still only lost 1:30 in the classic part of the Skiathlon, which is more or less the same as Hennig did, for example.
