That's an Associated Press release so it was prepared very well in advance of the UCI decision.

Notice the lack of substance to the release. They are dropping because it's bad taste right now, not for some ethical reasons.

They are just moving onto fueling the next sports myth. The "Lance Tricked Us" theme is ridiculous.
