Van Aert is a real racer and would be the major favourite if he were to participate, it's absolute nonsense to claim otherwise.

If he's not 100% they could use him as bait. Maybe Van der Poel, Pogacar, Asgreen are still watching Van Aert's wheel while Laporte and Benoot are already in the cafeteria for their 2nd piece of pie.
