no matter the outcome, andy won't be a tour winner until he wins a tour.

If he's found guilty and the 2010 title is then stripped, the example of 2006 would suggest that ASO will promote Andy to the official winner, even though he has previously said he doesn't want to win that way.

Someone has to be the official winner.

While I don't think anyone should win the 2010 Tour at least Andy has an argument that he won the 2010 title on the road absent Contador's unsportsmanlike conduct. While Contador has no argument that he should have won the 2007 tour. Really if things were fair, besides suspending Contador 2 years, he would be stripped of two undeserved titles.

But then again things are rarely fair in life and bad people usually win. I am pretty pessimistic the fix is in and Contador will get off using his ludicrous the dog ate my homework and contaminated my steak strategy when any other rider would have gotten a 2 year suspension.

This has been done over and over again but I guess there is no harm in doing it once more.

Contador won the 2010 title fair and square. He didn't wait for Schleck when he was so inept to not shift properly, because Schleck didn't wait for him on the cobbled stage when brother Frank's crash held up Contador.

Also, Schleck would have been done and dusted in the first week if Fabian didn't neutralize that stage when Andy went down.

I agree that Contador deserved the win 2010, but those arguments are just as much nonsense as "chaingate";
1) Cancellara can't neutralise **** without his DS telling him so, and the other DSs agreeing. This was a mutual decision, not some sort of dictatorial decree by Big Bad Canc
2) The time Schleck won on the cobbles was 100% legit. Chapeau to Contador too for not losing more time there, but what happened is, what always happens on the cobbles. Absolutely no reason for the Saxos to wait.

if you use your brain, you will see that he technically "can't" be banned for 4 years (since 2010 tour until the end of your fantasy guess). if it starts today and it is 2 years, than he keeps all results until now. since he was caught at the tour, he can't keep those results (if he is banned).

based on this, we can categorically state that anyone that (without working directly on this case, or anyone that does not work with the law and knows something that we don't) states that ac's ban will start tomorrow is as stupid as it gets. this applies to you.

god... i truly hope that he is cleared. he "is" cycling.

Before you insult me any more I never claimed to have great knowledge it was just my opinion and yes it could start today as valverdes was pretty much two years baring a month or so for an offense from 2006 so that was the basis of my opinion

You wont find a greater gentleman than Contador in the peloton, and let me remind you, this is professional cycling, and not a game of softball in granny´s home garden.

Right now Andy is probably clicking "update" on CAS news site, hoping he can finally call him self a tour winner...what a shame that is!
